This time, however, we get just the right amout of this: no more no less. Like the sex between Nico and Jaime was a way to fill the book more than complement the love story. But I can't deny that I found the first book to abuse a little bit of this. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy good and steamy sex scenes, much more when they are not just sexy but also meaningful for the story. Luckily, this one wasn't as erotic as the first one. With all this, it's normal for them to clash. Saint, on the other hand, has selfconfidance issues caused by past lovers and people telling him he isn't good enough. and Saints is nothing but flashy he loves having money and spending it in things that make him feel better with himself. Braxton has issues with wealth related things and dislikes everything flashy.

Theirs is a bumpy ride full of uncertainity.

But little by little they grow into each other and what was animosity becomes lust and maybe something more. They need time to get to know one another and keep making mistakes. I loved the fact that neither Saint nor Braxton changed their opinion of each other too fast. I wanted to know more about this two, two guys from different words that started their relationship making the worst first impression ever and now they have to work together. Saint's and Braxton's first encounter was unveiled during the first book's last chapter and it got me hooked. I really like the opposites attract trope and if we mix it with the enemies to lovers, even if as light as it is here, then it becomes just perfect. I liked this one better than the previous one, because I found the romance to be more natural and satisfying, but it still has some cons that let me down a little bit. But when my own insecurities about my self-worth threaten everything we could have, I’ll need to find a way to move past them … or I’ll lose the best thing to ever happen to me.

Saint fits in with my family, my step-father loves him, and the chemistry between us shows no signs of stopping. We’re total opposites … can we really make it work for more than a night of pleasure?Īt first it seems perfect. I’ve spent my whole life working towards this moment, and I can’t let myself fall for his good looks, no matter how much I crave him.īut long hours and close quarters are a combination neither of us can resist, and soon heat at the office turns into a wicked night in bed. But there’s more to the man than a showy Porsche and killer smile. Unlike me, he’s never had to struggle for anything a day in his life … or so I think. One arrogant, materialistic, flashy problem: Saint Caldwell.

Becoming a partner at Caldwell and Holton will be the crowning achievement in my hard fought career.
